On Campus, Finding Face Time in a Virtual Age

“One of the problems in American society today is that people don’t eat together anymore." A friend of mine belongs to a Thursdays food co-op. The current situation of scheduling in friends for meals is just crazy! To "schedule" and put a time limit on talking with friends....grrr!

hi rachel! i just got this e-mail about a Young Leaders Summit on Global Health and it made me think of you since i know you are interested in health and societies and you went to that conference in toronto a little while back  this summit is gonna be at NYU on Oct.29th. all-day event, "tuition" and meals covered so you just have to pay for that chinatown bus fare to NY. i would love to go, except i'm in DC and the busride there and back would take about 10+ hours of my time here's the website for it, check it out if you want.

in early september, i went to a different Young Leaders Summit held by the AIDemocracy organization and it was fantastic. it was about US-Muslim relations after 9/11 and they got some high-profile speakers to attend. anyway, no pressure, i'm not associated with AIDemocracy in any way but i was impressed by their 9/11 summit and thought this would be a great opportunity for u!

i found a good way to cure that, just stop having friends. once you stop scheduling, friends decrease, time supply increases, problem solved. haha. i know what you mean though
